Hindustan Times, Mumbai edition on page no seven beams the photographs of Lata Mangeshkar and her sisters on the occasion of presenting awards to 12 achievers from the various fields on the death anniversary of their father Dinanath Mangeshkar. No mention of the awardee’s names nor their photographs appear alongside. I am sure readers are interested in who got the awards and their respective fields too. Sorry Hindustan Times.This is a disservice to those who must have put in years of meritorious efforts to get in the list of awardees. I don’t say you deliberately chose to avoid them giving a bit of publicity. The recipient of awards would have liked to see their names in print. Hope you will spare the shocks to the readers next time around and show fairness and sensitivity in covering events of the kind.
