Railway authorities both WR & CR should introduce students special locals on the lines of ladies special, during the peak hours of commuting by the students. These Students Special trains should be introduced especially to meet the needs of  higher secondary school students or junior college students .

Up to SSC study  the students do not use trains  much ,to attend their schools. But to attend the higher secondary classes after SSC , a large number of students have to commute by train to attend the colleges situated along the suburban route.

There  are quite a few instances of death of students belonging to this age group from falling off  the trains during rush hours.Hence the need of these special locals to make the travel of the students belonging to this age group safe and free them from the nightmare of the train travel.One can witness the harassed student’s plight everyday at the stations, around which a few colleges are clustered.

For most of the junior college students, their classes  commence between 12 30 pm & 1 15 pm and get over between 5 pm & 6 pm. To meet these students’ peak hour travel needs the students’ special should be started on the suburban section. A few coaches can be reserved for the Teachers & Professors in these Special trains.

Junior Colleges and schools having higher secondary classes must be advised to begin and end their day’s sessions during these  band  period to bring in more uniformity, that will considerably enable to obtain maximum benefit to the students and the teaching community, from these special trains when introduced.

Since Degree College students in Mumbai Start their day early in the morning and end much  before noon ,the students and professors of these courses do not feel the pressure of travel as much as the junior college students.

Hence two trains for the junior college students at the appropriate time to take them to the colleges and two to take them home in the evening similarly is the need of the hour.

I am sure every parent,  student ,teacher & principal will agree that whatever relieves the students of this everyday  nightmarish dangerous travel should be implemented forthwith. Hence all concerned, the media , parents, teachers, principals  and students should make concerted efforts and insist the railway ministry to introduce the students special locals at the earliest and spare the students from the torturous  travel for education day after day. And save many precious lives too.

I hope Minister  Mamata Bannerjee and her advisers read this and  fulfill this urgent need of the junior college students of Mumbai .
